FAQ
Window tinting questions
How much does car window tinting cost?
Car window tinting starts from $299. The final price depends on your vehicle and which windows you’re tinting.
What are the benefits of tinting my car windows?
Reduced cabin heat, UV protection, less glare, more privacy, better driving comfort and a sleeker, more refined look.
Does window tint block UV rays?
Quality window tint helps filter harmful UV rays while reducing heat and glare inside the cabin, so the car is more comfortable to drive and sit in.
How dark can car window tint be in NSW?
Under Transport for NSW rules, the front side windows of most cars must let through at least 35% of light (35% VLT), and the rear side windows and rear screen at least 20%. Film can’t be more than 10% reflective. Different rules apply to goods vehicles such as some utes and vans, and factory privacy glass counts towards the limit. We’ll make sure your tint is legal before we fit it.
Can you tint the windscreen?
Only a band across the top. NSW rules allow a tinted strip at the top of the windscreen that doesn’t extend below the area swept by the wipers or 10% of the windscreen’s depth, whichever is greater. The rest of the windscreen can’t be filmed.
What tint shade should I choose?
It comes down to the look, privacy and heat control you want, and what’s legal for each window. We’ll walk you through the shade options before we start.
